Welcome to The Porterville Pregnancy Resource Center website. We are currently in process as of May 28, 2007 and information will be added regularly. The above links that are currently active are: Staff, Statement of Faith, Statement of Principle and Commitment of Care. We anticipate that the others will soon be available. Until then, as an introduction to the center we provide the following (limited) information:

Porterville Pregnancy Resource Center is a Christian crisis pregnancy center. We are a non-profit organization. All of our services are free of charge.

We are located at 64 W Putnam Ave in Porterville, CA. Our hours are 11:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. We have an after-hour care line available till 9:00 PM.

We provide pregnancy tests, baby & maternity clothing, baby items and furnishings as well as emergency diapers. There is counseling available for almost any need, including post abortion/miscarriage counseling and whether to parent or adopt. We have bible studies, classes for abstinence, marriage, parenting, child birth, lactation, sexually transmitted diseases and birth control. We provide information about The Myth of "Safe Sex".

We are available to speak at schools, churches, organizations, youth groups, colleges, and clubs.

Our goal is to educate people on other options available besides abortion. We aim to teach kids and newly divorced older people there is no such thing as "Safe Sex" other than in a committed monogamous relationship which you are married into.

We exist on donations, both monetary and tangible, to which end we conduct fundraisers and receive support from churches. We have volunteers, and a limited paid staff.

We do present the Gospel of Jesus Christ, realizing that many kids have never even been to church let alone received Christ.
